This is an engagement shoot of Jenn and Mike. Kiva www.AnnandalePhotography.com and I had a blast shooting all the bike footage. I have my camera about 2 inches from the road going 60mph. Such a thrill.

We also had an access to a mansion, where we went crazy with all the lighting, but I think it paid off.

This was an unusual wedding, where the groom injured himself and had to go for 19 stitches to the hospital, by an ambulance. But everything turned out good, he made it back on time and OK. And I had to say, it was hardly noticeable. Besides that, we got some amazing shots next to the church, that I didn't expect to come out as good, as well as Evan rented a vintage 50's Chevy pickup, that made the footage look like million dollar film. We truly love our customers. This is the best job in the world.

This wedding was wow! Although it was Friday 13, it was a very lucky day. Sean www.Sean-Fournier.com, a famous musician wrote and recorded their first dance song. Sean and Kim also performed a duet (Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat - Lucky) at their own wedding. And I got to say it sounded just like the real thing. They were so spontaneous. They sung and danced to every song played that night. We are so glad we could have witness this amazing event.

Inspired by Kevin Shahinian's City of Lake, Kiva Sutton (Annandale Photography) and I have realized the new and unknown road to a whole new dimension that wedding films could be, and besides City of Lakes, it has never been journeyed on by anyone.

How far can you go by documenting an event? What more can you do, besides documenting what is happening? Can you push it even more? How? These are few questions we had to answer before we started.
The idea of combining a fully scripted film with a real wedding event struck us with such excitement, that it has become the motivation for our concept wedding film "Flash Forward".

However there were few things we had to keep in a mind at all the time no matter what.
First we had to keep the wedding the focal point of the story. There couldn't have been any derivation from the fact that this is a Nicole and John love story and not a fictional independent film. That meant that the couple must always be in the lead role of the film.
Second, we had to make sure we wouldn't get carry away with the scripted parts of the film and forget to include the actual wedding event.

Flash Forward being our first Hybrid film ever, we had no idea what to expect. We were constantly reminding our selves not to get upset or disappointed over certain details and take the whole experience as a learning lesson. We expected to make mistakes, and sure we did many. However, they are also our foundation for the future films to come.

Kiva and I have started with the development of the storyboards, that were constantly revised, even on the day of the shooting. We took one whole day to scout for all the filming location. After that, we dry-run the film so we knew exactly how long each scene would take.
After gathering all the equipment, actors, wardrobe, make up artists and securing all the locations, we schedule the entire filming of all the fictional scenes into one lovely Sunday. Due to our discipline planning of scenes, their order and overall timing, we have managed to execute all our scenes (besides the wedding) in a single day. 2 weeks later we documented the wedding for the last few scenes for the film.

A week ago, I and my good friend Kiva from AnnandalePhotography.com have spent the whole Saturday at the Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford Connecticut, with the Davidson 64 team. It was an amazing experience, a lot of noise, sunburn and little dehydration. When we were entering the pits to the racetrack I was feeling quite nervous and I wasn't even racing. My friend Michael Bennett was the driver, suit up in about 4 layers of clothing in 82 degrees. I didn't envy him a bit. Unfortunately, when racing he got into a lot of dust and smoke, didn't see the crash before him and hit him. That destroyed his front bumper and he had to come to pits, were they ripped it off. They have taped the bonnet with some duck-tape, and I couldn't believe he was still passing some other drivers with his banged up car. Cannot wait to come again! Enjoy this rumbling experience and check out my logo on the car below the door. How cool is that?

I have mostly used 15mm 2.8 fisheye, 70-200 2.8IS on a T2i.

What do you love about filming?
I believe that anyone that thinks creatively is obligated to find an outlet for that creativity. Filming is an outlet for me that allows for a wide range of established and experimental artistic expressions. Weddings tend to be paced roughly in the same manner but the challenge I welcome is finding a unique view of each special event and offering a film that is rich in the personalities of those I have caught in the viewfinder.

My favorite food is…
Biryani - An Indian dish comprised of rice, chicken, and spices all cooked together. Think Chinese fried rice dishes without all the added oil

The best part about a wedding is…
The vows. They encompass everything that defines what it means to be married and whether written by the couple or delivered by the pastor, priest, or official they are always beautiful to hear out loud.

My family is...
A mixture of ethnic backgrounds including Bengali, Italian, Irish, English, and even some Native American ancestry.

My Favorite place is...
The American Museum of Natural History in New York City. My father has worked there for over twenty five years and I have never missed an exhibit opening.

When I am driving in my car, I am listening to...
The radio. Saves me time downloading and burning.

If I had a full day all to myself and money was no object, I would...
I would Charter a Boeing X-33 for the day and fly around the world seeing the wonders of civilization. For your information the Boeing X-33 can do Mach fifteen and can make a trip from Boston to Geneva, Switzerland in under an hour. Cool, huh?

My motivation in life is...
Experience. Record. Teach. I believe all occupations fall in one of these three categories and a progression from one to the other is ultimately inevitable. Neil & Crista came down from St. Lucia (should be up from, but that doesn't sound right) to meet with us at Fairytale Studio FairytaleStudio.com and also with their photographers Anthony DeCarlophoto.com and Meagan PeachTreePortraitStudio.com . We stayed little too long at the restaurant until we lost most of the daylight, however the shots in the twilight are just amazing! Didn't expect it. They braved out the whole day with us, towards the end getting quite chilly. Notice Neil in short sleeve shirt towards the end of the video. Was about 48 degrees. Must be an island thing. We are so excited to go for their wedding on the island.

This was a wedding of many first. First wedding of the year, first time shooting with a second cameraman and first time T2i dslr with 28mm 1.8. We've got quite amazing skies. And it is a very particular light in March in Connecticut. Very long dark shadows. However wasn't that cold. We came 4 hours ahead to find cool spots and places to shoot and it was worth it. I wish we could have done all the cool shot we didn't have time for. Especially one we wanted to do on top of a yacht! Special thanks to Kiva (the director) who organized the whole thing.

This was a test wedding where I was trying to figure out what I need or don't need with this new dslr set up. I found out I need a ND filter. Make my Glidecam much havier to keep it stable with this light dslr, and get 70-200 lens for ceremony. And the most important is many, many extra batteries. The battery sucks!

Just got a new camera we will be using this year for weddings. It's a new Canon T2i and I purchased a 28mm f/1.8 lens. It is quite easy to operate and it bring tremendous quality. It will be our go to camera while XHA1 will be our B roll. Notice the beautiful bokeh (soft background) this amazing 28mm lens provides. It also excels in a really low light situation like reception. Which is an amazing news to the brides and guests , who won't have to squint their eyes because of annoying light, not to mention they won't even know I am there. How awesome is that? The Golf course was build into a hill, it was a roller-coaster ride on the golf carts. Sheryl was chauffeuring me around the course. Heather and Shawn were such joyful people. One of few sunny weddings this year. I was quite lucky both Lindsay and Michael were on the same place, so I got them both getting ready. Wedding was at the Birch Meadows in front of a giant water fountain. It was just super place to get married. The Groom's party was a riot, playing football with bridesmaid's shoe. I do have some short footage I will be posting soon. Best man toast was hilarious and they really know how to rock the party, especially Mike with his thriller dance. Lindsay and Mike, I am so glad I was invited to this great day!

This was a very gray and rainy day. It spoiled some plans, but couldn't spoil the joy Megan and David had for each other. The wedding was at beautiful St. Clement's Castle, I really like coming back to this place. Megan arrived first with her bridesmaids to get ready. She had a beautiful surprise note from David, that made her tear up a little. Glad the rain stopped for a while so we went to take pictures and video outside. I was working with an awesome photographer Kimberly Lynn. the ceremony was very relaxed and felt so right.

The day started as usual. I got to drive towards east to Mystic. It was very beautiful September day and just perfect temperature. The wedding was at the Mystic Art Center at a wonderful huge tree overlooking water.
I have to say this was the most unusual and beautiful wedding so far. I have really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The whole ceremony felt very natural, as it should be.
I got to work with a awesome fellow Czech photographer from Chicago Daniel Peter who was in charge of the photoboth. The music was managed by Jeb, who did an awesome job rolling song one after another from the 80's ad 90's.

Andrea + Joe,
The day started very gloomy and rainy. Wedding was in center of Waterbury in the Sacred Heart Church, that was build into a steep, steep hill I circled several times, until I found the church has a parking lot in the back, and it wasn't in 45% slope, luckily.
The Day went very smoothly despite the ugly weather. I got to work with awesome DJ Craig G from FM 93.7 and Villa Rosa in Waterbury was beautiful. And the party was insane. Everybody were dancing. Thank you Andrea and Joe for having me!
